Joe Bryant, the father of the late Kobe Bryant, passed away at 69

Joseph Washington Jellybean Bryant, the father of the late NBA great Kobe Bryant, passed away on Tuesday, July 16, 2024, at the age of 69. The cause of death has not yet been released.

Joe Bryant was a former NBA star and coach. He played for the Philadelphia 76ers for eight seasons, and also played for the San Diego Clippers, Houston Rockets, and Seattle SuperSonics. After retiring from playing, he coached the Los Angeles Sparks of the WNBA for two seasons.

Joe Bryant's death is a tremendous loss to the basketball community. He was a beloved figure, and his legacy will live on through his son, Kobe, who was one of the greatest basketball players of all time. Our thoughts and prayers are with Joe Bryant's family and friends during this difficult time.
